GDC and PAX East ruled March, while April left Sandbox busy with new announcements, releases, and influencer projects. See below for this month’s recap, and see our February round-up here!

Sandbox Influencer Highlights

We’ll start on the influencer side, where Saber Interactive’s World War Z launched on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. We worked with Epic Games to coordinate a paid YouTube campaign with ten YouTubers; see some of the hilarious moments captured by VanossGaming. There was a boatload of organic coverage as well, including videos from VEGETTA777 and TheWillyrex! Clara also helped coordinate an influencer reactions trailer that currently has 750K views! In total, we’ve generated 46 million views on YouTube and 52 million minutes watched on Twitch, with tons of fun moments like this along the way.World War Z

Devolver had a full slate in April, as we handled campaigns for Weedcraft Inc, Enter the Gungeon and Katana Zero. While every game poses its challenges, Weedcraft provided unique hurdles with YouTube demonetizing videos covering the game. We were able to leverage the negative press around the demonetization to capture more targets, who rallied around the game, even if some had to move to Twitch to cover it. Jacksepticeye even posted a video (that he knew would be demonetized) while on vacation in Japan! We coordinated two pushes, one at launch and one on April 20, and some other coverage highlights include ZackScottGames and ChristopherOdd.

Enter the Gungeon was a fun project, as we worked with Dodge Roll Games to create custom Gungeoneers in the game’s pixel art style for select influencers, which were shared privately and on social media to get fans involved. The hype boomed with major influencers like Brownman and ElRichMC sharing and adopting their personal Gungeoneers as avatars and channel art. We ultimately garnered nearly 300 thousand Twitter impressions, reached 5.1 million YouTube subscribers, and the game ranked #12 in the top streamed games on Twitch during launch weekend.

For Katana Zero, we organized a preview period for content creators leading up to launch. 102 streamers covered the game; some highlights include Ohmwrecker and Arekkz Gaming.

We also coordinated an influencer push for THQ Nordic’s Fade to Silence, which launched this week on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. The campaign is still ongoing, but check out initial YouTube coverage from IGP, Blitz, and TetraNinja!
